Kwara ADC And ‘Unavailable’ Financier Gbenga Power
The African Democratic Congress (ADC), a political party that is getting positioned as a significant political force in the country, would have had a man with deep pockets, Hon Gbenga Oyekunle Power as its major financier in Kwara State, if not for the development that was recorded before the last governorship election in the state.
Recall that no one had heard about the party in the State of Harmony until Hon Gbenga Power left APC for ADC in August 2022.
He later emerged as Ifelodun/Offa/ Oyun ADC reps candidate but however returned to APC on March 15, 2023, after Hon Ismail Tijani, the APC reps candidate had been declared winner of the House of Representatives election held on April 25, 2023.
With the ‘rebirth’ of the party, ADC is expected to get off to a good start in the state with Mallam Bolaji Abdulahi, a one-time Sports minister, former APC National Publicity Secretary, and a former commissioner as one of its national officers and the immediate past governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed as one of its big wigs.
