Kwara CP Inaugurates Newly Renovated Area Command Police Station, Patrol Vehicles In Omu-Aran

Head of Kwara State Police Command, Mr. Victor Olaiya, a Commissioner of Police, has inaugurated the newly renovated Omu-Aran Area Command Police Station, Omu-Aran and 4 patrol vehicles. 

Omu-Aran is the headquarters of Irepodun local government, Kwara State.

Spokesperson for the state police command, Ejire-Adeyemi Toun, a Superintendent of Police, noted in a statement she issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Monday that the renovation project was made possible through the generous support of the Omu-Aran community, with special contributions from the Olomu of Omu-Aran,  His Royal Majesty, Oba AbdulRaheem Oladele Adeoti Agboluaje, Olomu Efon II, Professor Kolawole O. Ajanaku, Vice-Chancellor of Landmark University, Omu-Aran; who benevolently donated a patrol vehicle to the area command on behalf of the university. 

This was done as the institution’s corporate social responsibility (CSR).

‘ There were also other donors who helped in getting other vehicles that were grounded repaired’ the statement noted.

In his remarks, CP Olaiya commended the collaborative efforts of the community in strengthening security infrastructure while expressing appreciation for the unwavering support of the Olomu of Omu-Aran and his council of chiefs, emphasizing that effective policing thrives on strong partnership with communities.  

  He lauded the professionalism and dedication of the Area Commander, ACP Muazu Ismail  praising him for overseeing the jurisdiction and the Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) serving in the Omu-Aran Area Command effectively.

 Mr Olaiya noted that their exemplary service had earned the trust and goodwill of the people, which had in turn inspired the community’s investment in the station’s renovation project.  

Restating his commitment to improving policing in the state, CP Victor Olaiya urged cops in the State of Harmony to redouble their efforts in ensuring the safety and security of all residents. ‘To whom much is given, much is expected’ he submitted, urging them to remain diligent, professional, and people-friendly in their duties.  

Dignitaries present at the event included His Royal Majesty, the Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba AbdulRaheem Oladele Adeoti Agboluaje, Olomu Efon II; members of the council of High Chiefs, The  Owa of Eruku, His Royal Majesty, Oba Olarenwaju Busari Ahinde,  retired AIG Bankole Lanre Sikiru, other senior police officers, Chairman Irepodun LGA represented by his Chief of Staff, Hon Francis Ajiboye, the D.V.C of Landmark University, Professor John Ojediran, the representatives of other security agencies and notable stakeholders from the Omu-Aran community.
