Alhaji Adedoyin, a former commissioner and a Kwara state APC chieftain, described Mustapha as a political associate, a friend and a brother.
‘Characteristically, it won’t be a day of lavish celebration. And to draw home the point that it should be a quiet day, Tiuraki had issued a statement asking people for only supplications to Allah to mark his birthday.
Well, that has not stopped an outpouring of love, affection and Goodwill messages- from the elites to the ordinary people whose lives Turaki has touched .

Turaki Mustapha is a political associate, a friend and a brother.
His knowing me wasn’t so good from the start. And we laugh anytime he recalls how my name was removed from the list of Federal Board Chairmen from Kwara State because the Leadership in Kwara frowned at my association with my bosom friend, Hon. Moshood Mustapha, who had formed a formidable group to campaign for governor against the dynastic wishes of the Leadership. .
I first knew Turaki as a solid party man when, despite being cruelly disqualified from governorship primary, he was neck deep in financing and campaigning for APC victory in the 2019 elections. It is also instructive that he was present at the Kwara APC State Congress that produced Prince Sunday Fagbemi as Chairman.
On a personal level, I feel and see TSM’s humility and benevolence firsthand. From his instructive phone call and his emissary on my hospital bed in London, to his physical presence on a Sallah day at my mother’s fidau in Ijomu Oro in 2021, to my birthday lecture programme in Ilorin last year, I have fond memories of this man’s goodness.
TSM is not only a philanthropist, his gestures of goodwill go beyond ethnic boundaries. People from Kwara South that I and other associates recommended have benefitted from his patronage and empowerment programmes. This started long before it gained prominence in the media.
I was involved deeply in his campaign for APC National Chairman position. It was one of the miracles of our political environment that the aspirant, who ran the best, energizing, tsunamic campaign, was edged out at the last minute. But he took the loss stoically and remained a party man. It is God’s payback for him that he is today not only a senate candidate but the leading candidate .
I join kwara’s first citizen, HE AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and other well-wishers to celebrate the golden age of the golden man.
Happy Birthday Turaki’ he wrote -Team@orientactualmags.com
