Kwara Govt Announces Plans To Pay ‘Outstanding Gratuities’, Urges Pensioners To Get ‘KWSRRA Number’

Kwara State Ministry of Finance disclosed on Wednesday that necessary steps have been taken to ensure the payment of inherited outstanding gratuities while urging retired State and Local Government workers to complete their registration with the Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWSRRA) in order to benefit from this kind gesture. 

‘Apart from fulfilling the obligation to update their data with the government for planning and security purposes, this registration will qualify them for the payment of outstanding gratuities dating back to 2011. 

Also, apart from the consistent monthly releases, the State and Local Government will soon begin another round of substantial payment of outstanding gratuities from 2011’ Dr. Hauwa Nuru, who is the state Commissioner for Finance, submitted in the statement she issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com . 

‘However, it is essential for all pensioners to register with KWSRRA to revalidate their information. They can do this either at the Ilorin office of KWSRRA or at the headquarters of their respective local governments, all of which have KWSRRA desks’ she said.

Dr. Nuru also urged State and Local Government staff who are yet to complete their KWSRRA registration to do so without delay, assuring them of government’s commitment to prompt salary payments.

‘We understand the importance of these payments to our pensioners and employees.
