Kwara Govt Provides Financial Assistance To Kwara Indigenes Among Dosumu Market Fire Victims

The Kwara state Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) has disbursed the sum of N32,600,000 to indigenes of Kwara state, who were among the victims of the fire incident that occurred at the popular Dosumu market in Lagos state recently, and whose businesses were affected. 

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com  quoted  the  General Manager of  KWASSIP, Dr Abdulwasiu Olayinka Tejidini as noting that  Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commiserated with the Dosumu market fire victims while restating the governor’s continued support for all Kwarans at all times.

‘Today, we presenting a cheque of Thirty two million, six hundred thousand naira to indigenes of Kwara state ,who are  living in Lagos state, and who were among the victims of the  recent fire incident that occurred in Dosumu Market which has affected their businesses. This is a testament to Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s commitment to giving priority to welfare of all Kwarans across the board, regardless of their locations.

The governor will continue to do everything within his capacity to ensure that every Kwaran is adequately carried along in his administration’  he said.

While receiving the cheque from the KWASSIP boss,   Mallam Abdulganiyu Sebutu, who is the chairman of the committee that was set up and given the mandate to receive the financial assistance  on behalf of the fire victims, expressed delight over the huge financial support for them, describing this as an unprecedented magnanimity.

Sebutu, who was accompanied by the Public Relations Officer of the Committee, Mallam Adelodun Babatunde Iponrin, said the governor has indeed demonstrated that he is  not only a father figure to all Kwarans at home, but also to  those living outside the state and abroad.

‘Today, we are currently at the office of KWASSIP to receive the sum of Thirty Two Million, Six Hundred Thousand Naira, graciously given to us by the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq administration to  support  our business ventures that were affected by the fire incident  at Dosumu Market, Lagos state.

We are short of words, as this had come as a huge surprise to us all, at a time when we had all thought it was over. This, indeed, is a testament to the governor’s people-oriented approach.
