Kwara Lawmaker, AGF Salahudeen, Thanks Constituents, Says He’ ll Never Take Their Support For Granted

Hon AGF Salahudeen, who represents Omupo state constituency  in the Kwara state House of Assembly, has won a second term.

Professor Abdulahi Ibrahim Bello ,who was the Returning Officer for the House of Assembly election in Omupo state constituency, declared Hon Salahudeen,  a Barrister- at -law,  winner of the election on Sunday.

 In the election results announced by Abdulahi,  Hon AGF Salahudeen ,who was the  APC candidate, had  6,205 votes,  the PDP candidate got 3,906 votes , the SDP candidate had 1,243  votes while the YPP candidate got 312 votes.

In an interview with Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday, Hon AGF Salahudeen, who   thanked voters in his constituency for allowing him to retain his parliament seat, submitted that he will never take their support for granted.

  ‘It is  humbling that my constituents  could consider  me electable out of all the candidates, I sincerely thank them and I will never take this support for granted’ he said.

The state lawmaker , who noted that he had though prioritized  matters concerning his constituents since becoming their representative four years ago, added that the support he has enjoyed will however make him redouble efforts.

‘I have to thank and appreciate my constituents for considering me worthy of re-election,  it was an  overwhelming support  that I enjoyed from all of them, I won’t take the support they have given me for granted , I will redouble efforts and I will continue to make matters concerning them a priority’ he said.

He also thanked leaders and stakeholders in the state APC especially Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq  for giving him necessary supports which he noted, had eased things for him- Team@orientactualmags.com
