Kwara LG Elections: Mohammed Ajia Provides Financial Support For PDP Candidates In 16 LGs
A former gubernatorial aspirant in the 2019 governorship election and the llorin West/ Asa PDP reps candidate in the 2023 general election, Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Ajia, has provided financial support for all PDP Chairmanship and councillorship candidates in the 16 Local Governments in the state ahead of the Saturday’s local government elections.
This was done to bolster the party’s chances in the Local Government elections.
In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Director of Communications, Malam Abdulrahman Aliagan, Alhaji Ajia urged the State Working Committee and the party’s teeming supporters in Kwara State to maintain their confidence and double their efforts to ensure a convincing victory in tomorrow’s local government elections.
‘It is evident that we have the numbers and supporters at the grassroots level. What we lacked was the commitment and sacrifice needed on the Election Day which was easily the reason we lost in the two previous elections’ he said.
Ajia however expressed confidence that with renewed commitment, the party will emerge victorious.
The generous donation, which has been sent to the state Chairman’s bank account, will be promptly disbursed to the local government chairmanship candidates in the 16 local governments while they will in turn get across to the 193 Councilorship candidates .
Alhaji Ajia also urged all party faithful to abide by the extant laws guiding the conduct of the election and ensure proper documentation of happenings before, during, and after the Election Day.
