Kwara PDP Suspends Moro LG Chairman From Party, Cites Misconduct

The State Working Committee of Kwara State PDP has announced the suspension of Alhaji Abdulganiyu Musa from the party for one month.

Alhaji Abdulganiyu Musa is the PDP chairman in Moro local government.

Spokesman for the state PDP, Mr Olusegun Adewara in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Saturday noted that this was in line with the provisions of Sections 58 and 59 of the constitution of the PDP while adding that allegations of gross misconduct and other related offences were leveled against Mr Abdulganiyu Musa by some party officials from Moro Local Government.

‘The decision was reached at the 4th meeting of the State Working Committee (SWC) held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at the party Secretariat in Ilorin. The meeting was presided over by the State Chairman, Hon. Isa Bawa Adamu.

Consequently, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Musa is hereby suspended for a period of one month and the matter has been referred to the State Disciplinary Committee for further investigation. This step is to ensure that due process is followed and to give the affected chairman the opportunity to defend himself in line with the fair hearing provisions enshrined in the party’s constitution

The State Disciplinary Committee, which will handle the matter, is to be headed by the State Deputy Chairperson, Chief Mrs. Wosilat Atinuke Macarthy. During the period of suspension, Alhaji Abdulganiyu Musa shall cease to function in his capacity as PDP chairman in Moro Local Government and must not parade himself as such.

 In accordance with the party’s constitution, he is to hand over all the properties belonging to the party including documents, and items in his possession to the Vice Chairman, who shall assume office in acting capacity to ensure the smooth running of the affairs of the party in Moro Local Government.

The party has formally communicated this decision in writing to the affected Chairman through a correspondence signed by the State Secretary, Hon. Abdulrahman Abdullahi Kayode’ the statement added.
