Kwara PDP SWC To Party Members: Ignore Rumours ,  We’re Not Planning To Suspend Saraki

Members of the State Working Committee of the Kwara state PDP, have described as untrue the rumours promoted on social media that they were planning to suspend former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki from the party.

While expressing  profound gratitude to  well-meaning  party bigwigs  for  showing concern  about what they called ‘unfounded rumour’ , they also described the purported disagreement between the SWC members and Saraki as ‘imaginary’ and a figment of imagination of those promoting the said rumours.

  In a communiqué issued after the meeting attended by members of the SWC in Ilorin on July 5, 2023, which was made available  to Team@orientactualmags.com, the party officials noted that  what was discussed during the meeting held  earlier on June  1, 2023,  to  review the 2023 general election was misrepresented.

The communique was jointly signed by Hon Babatunde Mohammed, Chairman, and Alhaji Razaq Lawal, Secretary.

The party has urged members of the public to disregard the rumours that they ‘are planning to suspend’ the former Senate President ‘from the PDP’..

‘First and foremost, we hasten to express our profound gratitude to some well-meaning elders of our party, in the state, for their worry and concern about the unfounded rumour that rented the air recently which has to do with an imaginary misunderstanding between the SWC and our leader, H/E Abubakar Bukola Saraki-CON. The rumour is a figment of the imagination of the carriers.

That meeting held by the enlarged state executive members on the 1st day of June, 2023 at the state party secretariat called purposely to review the outcome of the 2023 general election was misconstrued and also misrepresented by some disgruntled elements.

 In view of the above, we urge our party members and supporters to be calm and disregard the purported rumoured suspension of our leader H.E (Dr) Sen. Abubakar Bukola Saraki (CON) by the state working committee members as mischievously circulated by some people which was aimed at causing disharmony in the party’ the SWC members submitted-Team@orientactualmags.com
