Kwara PDP Urges House Of Assembly To Ask Questions About N17b Allegedly Kept In The Bank

Kwara state PDP on Sunday urged the state House of Assembly to raise an issue and ensure that the executive arm of government headed by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq provides the required answers to some questions.

The party in a statement made available to  Team@orientactualmags.com  by  its State Publicity Secretary, Mr. Olusegun Olusola Adewara alleged that a certain N17 billion which it claimed was the remaining money from the over N52 billion loan the current administration in the state obtained within the governor’s first five months in his first term has been allegedly kept in the bank since 2020.

The party has urged the state House of Assembly to ensure that the executive arm of government directly addresses the questions about the alleged N17 billion and where it has been kept while also alleging that N1.3 billion is used to service the debt monthly.

‘In the spirit of Nigeria’s Independence Day celebration, we demand that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq publicly discloses the whereabouts of the seventeen billion naira (N17bn) he claimed to have fixed in an unknown bank from the N35bn loan and also avail Kwarans how much interest the fund has yielded since the year 2020’ the party submitted .

While  urging the Hon Yakubu Danladi -led State House of Assembly ‘to heed the clarion call by summoning Governor Abdulrahman and making him explain how our N17 billion is fairing in the secret bank account he has kept it’, the statement added that ‘our party demands monthly publication of FAAC allocations as well as figures for the state’s internally generated revenue as was the practice under the PDP regimes’- Team@orientactualmags.com
