Kwara PDP Ward Exco Expels Haliru Dantsoho From Party
PDP Ward officials in Kwara state announced on Monday that Prince Haliru Dantsoho Mahmoud, the State Youth Leader, has been expelled from the party citing misconduct and anti-party activities.
16 PDP Ward officials in Kaiama Ward 1, Kaiama local government, appended their signatures to the letter of expulsion that has already been sent to Prince Haliru Dantsoho Mahmoud.
The party officials not only made a copy of the letter available to Team@orientactualmags.com but also noted that Prince Haliru Dansoho had released 2 videos on December 7, 2023, in which he made unsubstantiated allegations against PDP leaders at the state and national levels which was contrary to Section 58 (1) (b) (f) (h) of the constitution of the party 2017 as amended, ditto Section 5 (1).
He was also accused of refusing to appear before the disciplinary committee set up by the Ward exco while noting that his expulsion was in line with Section 59 (2) and Section 59 (1) (g) of the constitution of the party.
Haliru, the party officials noted, has lost his rights as a member and an official of the Kwara state PDP effective from December 11, 2023.
A new development that was recorded on Monday has however made it clear that Prince Haliru Dantsoho would not be challenging the decision taken by the PDP officials in Kaiama Ward 1 as he has announced his resignation from the party.
In a letter dated Monday, December 11, 2023, Prince Haliru Dantsoho said he had done this because his efforts to ensure accountability and transparency in the party did not produce desired results while submitting that the party under Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki’s leadership cannot win any election in the state.
Haliru also alleged that because he had raised an issue, he was victimized and had earlier gotten suspended from the party by the state Working Committee while this decision was overruled during the 578th meeting of the PDP National Working Committee on November 28,2023-Team@orientactualmags.comDo you have any information you wish to share with us?
