Kwara Popular Politician, Razaq Lawal, Honours Ex-Gov Mohammed Lawal’s Memory…Names Newborn Baby Boy After Him

A popular politician in Kwara state, Alhaji Rasaq Lawal, on Tuesday honoured late Admiral Mohammed Alabi Lawal’s memory by naming his newborn baby boy after him.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the newborn baby boy was named as Lawal Olohunlalaro Alabi.

Late Mohammed Alabi Lawal, a retired Admiral , served as Military Governor of Ogun state from 1987 to 1990, and he later served as civilian governor of Kwara state between 1999 and 2003.

Alhaji Rasaq Lawal, who served as Special Adviser, Political and Legislative Matters and Commissioner for Special Duties during the Mohammed Lawal administration , was also until a few weeks ago, the State Secretary of the Kwara state PDP.

The short but colourful naming ceremony held at Mejindadi compound, Oke – Aluko, Ilorin, brought together political associates of the late Admiral Mohammed Lawal, and political big wigs who are loyalists of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq, while some of them are also currently political office holders.
Political big wigs that graced the ceremony include the state APC chairman , Prince Sunday Fagbemi, two close allies of Governor AbdulRazaq ; Dr Mohammed Ghali Alaaya and Alh Saadu Salahu, Special Adviser on Media, Alh Bashir Adigun, Senior Special Assistant on Religion (Islam), Alh Ibrahim Danmaigoro, Commissioner, National Population Commission, Kwara state, Alh Rasak Gidado and former Kwara state Commissioner for Information, Alh Raheem Adedoyin.

Alh Abubakar Ndakene, Alh Iliyasu Iponrin, Alh Mohammed Ahmed, Justice Adam Idris, Alh Yusuf Amura, Alh S.A Musa, Barr Bamidele Aluko, Hon. Abdulwahab Issa, Alh Mashood Adebimpe, Alh Billy Adedamola, Hon. Kale Ayo, Alh Amosa Okolo, Alh Baba Adefalu, Alh Rasaq Adio, Alh Rasaq Oloole, Alh Mustapha Kobe, Alh Baba Olosasa, Alh Abdullahi Alaya, Barr Abdulfatah Salman, Alh Gani Galadima and Alh Abdullahi Olesin also attended the event.

Imam Seji, Oke-Aluko, Sheikh AbdulKareem Mohammed Lawal, who gave a short sermon during the event, urged parents to ensure proper upbringing of their children in Islamic way.
