Kwara Popular Politician, Yinusa Yahaya, Dies In Ilorin…Gov AbdulRazaq Offers Condolences

Engineer Yinusa Ahmed Yahaya , who is popularly called ‘Bulldozer’ , is dead.

Yahaya was until his death on Tuesday, one of the influential politicians in Kwara North.

As a member of the House of Representatives  for eight years , Yahaya, who was the Chairman ,  Committee on Works,  was one of the ‘powerful’ federal lawmakers.

Politicians in Kwara North also feared the former reps member, an indigene of Tsaragi, Edu local government,

Rather than seeking to return to the House of Representatives for the third time in 2007 , Alhaji Yahaya, who represented Moro/Edu/Patigi federal constituency, had sought to get the  Kwara North PDP senate nomination but however lost this to Alhaji Ahmed Muhammed , who won the primary election held in Bode Saadu.  He later served as chairman of the board of Kwara state Polytechnic, Ilorin.

The Islamic funeral prayer (Salatul Janazah)   would be held for him  today in Tsaragi at 4pm.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has mourned Alhaji Yinusa’s passing while calling his exit the end of an era and asking Allah to forgive his sins.

The governor  in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Rafiu Ajakaye described the former member of the House of Representatives as a great political strategist with appreciable goodwill in not just Edu, his local government of origin, but across the state. 

‘The governor sends his condolences to the family of the late statesman, the people of Tsaragi, where he was the Mutawalli, the APC family in the state, his political associates across the state, and everyone who mourns him.
