Kwara Prominent Politician, Jafar Bio, Dies In Ilorin…Former Rep Zakari Offers Condolences
Neighbours, family members, friends, and political associates spoke in sepulchral tones and had mournful facial expressions as news of the death of Hon Jafar Bio Ibrahim spreads on Sunday.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the deceased politician fell ill two weeks ago and he was taken to the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin where he sadly breathed his last on Sunday.
Islamic funeral prayer (Salatul Janazah) had since been held for him in Ilorin .
Hon Jafar Bio, an indigene of Shiya, Baruten local government, was until his death on Sunday the Waziri of Wawa community, Niger State.
Wawa, is his mother’s hometown.
The late Hon Jafar Bio Ibrahim, a very humble and easygoing politician, was a member of Kwara State House of Assembly from 1999 to 2003.
He also at different times served as Commissioner for Agriculture, and Commissioner for Commerce and Industries during the Bukola Saraki administration.
The news of Bio’s death had since produced an outpouring of grief and condolences.
Hon Zakari Mohammed, who represented Baruten/Kaiama federal constituency between 2011 and 2019 , told Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday night that he was deeply saddened by the demise of the former state lawmaker calling his death ‘a great loss’.
While praising the deceased politician for playing politics without bitterness, Hon Zakari Mohammed also lamented that Kwara State has lost a ‘great son’ especially, Shiya community and Baruten local government as a whole
‘I condole with the Bio family, the people of Shiya community, the people of Baruten local government and other Kwarans over this sad incident.
