Kwara Prominent Traditional Ruler, Elerin Of Erin-Ile, Passes Away At 81…Gov Abdulrazaq, Ex-Gov Ahmed , Nurudeen Adeyemi Offer Condolences
A prominent traditional ruler in Kwara state, the Elerin of Erin-Ile , Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola Olusokun II (MFR), has passed on to the great beyond.
It was gathered that he left the planet earth to fraternize with his ancestors during the weekend.
He has passed away at 81. Erin-Ile , Oyun local government, Kwara state, is a border town.
It was a double celebration for the deceased traditional ruler in February 2022 as he celebrated his 80th birthday and 40th coronation anniversary.
A slew of notable figures had since paid tribute to the top traditional ruler after his passing was announced on Saturday.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who led tributes to the Erin-Ile monarch , has described his passing as the ‘end of a fine era’ .
In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Rafiu Ajakaye on Saturday, the governor called the late Erin-Ile monarch a statesman and a great leader of his people under whom the town had recorded many developmental strides.
‘I send our heartfelt condolences to the immediate and extended families of the late first class traditional ruler as well as the good people of Erin-Ile and Oyun Local Government as a whole on this sad development. We are however comforted by the great legacies of the Erin-Ile monarch.
Our prayers are with the family and the good people of the community at this time and always. We pray Allah, exalted is He, to grant Al-jannah to the Elerin of Erin -Ile and comfort his family’ the statement said.
Alhaji Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun , an aerospace engineer, who is based in the United States of America, has also commiserated with the entire sons and daughters of Erin- Ile on the demise of Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola .
Adeyemi, an indigene of Esie, Kwara state ,in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com extolled the virtues of the deceased traditional ruler while calling him a leader with many success stories.
‘With gratitude to God for a life well spent in the upliftment of humanity, I express our heartfelt condolences to all indigenes of Erin- Ile over the demise of our lovely Paramount ruler, Oba Abdulganiyu Ajibola Olusokun II , who has passed away at 81 .
Truly, Kabiyesi’s uncommon disposition to all matters of development shall be greatly missed by the people and friends of Erin- Ile across the globe. It is our prayer that God Almighty protects and upholds the immediate and extended family of the Erin-Ile Monarch.
We pray Allah, the Almighty to grant Kabiyesi Aljanatul Fridaus. Sun re o Oba wa atata’ he submitted.
Immediate past governor of Kwara state, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed , has also mourned the passing of Oba AbdulGaniyu Ajibola describing his demise as a significant loss that has been felt by all Kwarans.
Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed described the late Elerin as a remarkable traditional ruler whose contribution to the development, peace, and advancement of Erin-Ile and its people are indelible.
‘I join the Erin-Ile community in mourning a remarkable traditional ruler, who exemplified visionary leadership, dedicating himself to advancing the ancient town and its people. Indeed, he was a notable partner in building enduring peace and unity in the state.
The late Elerin played a pivotal role in transforming Erin-Ile into a hub of unity and progress, leaving behind a legacy that will shape the town for generations.
