Kwara: Senator Saliu Mustapha Discloses Plans To Support Farmers Ahead Of Growing Season, Emphasizes Importance Of Skill Acquisition… Promises To Provide Free Internet Access For Journalists

As farmers across the country begin or get ready to put seeds in the soil, Senator Salihu Mustapha has promised to give those in the Kwara Central Senatorial district necessary supports that will enable them to ‘fully’ see the reward of the growing season.
He has also assured the farmers that he has big plans for them and they would be given a special attention in his upcoming empowerment scheme.

The farmers will according to him take precedence cognizant that there is a set window of time to plant each kind of seeds and the growing season has already begun.
All kinds of equipment that are key instruments and important when it comes to growing season will be provided for the farmers during the empowerment programme in question in order to enhance and improve crop yields.
He added that hairdressers and others will also receive working tools during the planned empowerment programne while emphasizing the need to make good use of the items.
He also urged those who may not be ‘captured’ in the upcoming empowerment programme not to lose hope as everyone will eventually has his or her life impacted through one scheme or another.
Senator Salihu Mustapha said this while addressing constituents that had Iftar Dinner with him at his Ilorin residence on Saturday.
Muslims are ordered to fast from dawn to sunset during the month of Ramadan and Iftar is the evening meal they take after the sun has gone down.
The federal lawmaker later sat down with reporters including Team@orientactualmags.com during which he emphasized the importance of skill acquisition.

While noting that there is a need to encourage young people in the country to embrace self-employment through skill acquisition and entrepreneurship, the senator also added that this will serve as a potent tool for economic growth.
