Kwara South Senate Seat: Joseph Obanla Receives Royal Blessings During Visit To Olomu Of Omu-Aran’s Palace
Kwara State PDP chieftain, Chief Joseph Adewole Obanla, who has launched a senate bid ,visited the palace of Olomu of Omu -Aran ,His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti Olomu Efon II to receive royal blessings on Friday, August 15, 2025.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Saturday noted that the royal blessings has spiced Chief Joseph Obanla’s senate bid with spiritual and moral strength that will stand him in good stead for party nomination .
The statement added that the Olomu-in-Council declared during Obanla’s visit to the palace that Irepodun local government is ripe for the Kwara South Senate seat in 2027.
Elder Kola Adewumi, a prominent member of the party, expressed confidence in Obanla’s leadership, noting that Irepodun local government had sought to occupy the parliament seat for over two decades now.
Also speaking ,Chief Gani Popoola, the Elemo Aran of Omu-Aran, urged Irepodun local government PDP stakeholders to support Obanla’s senate bid while emphasizing the need for unity of effort and collective support.
They all noted that Chief Obanla has demonstrated his deep respect for his country home, Omu-Aran, and the traditional institutions.
Chief Joseph Adewole Gbenga Obanla , who acknowledged the support of the members of Olomu-in- Council under His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti’s leadership and thanked them for the warm reception given to his team, also promised not to disappoint Omu-Aran City, Irepodun Local Government, and Kwara South as a whole if he becomes a senator in 2027.
‘The community’s confidence in Obanla’s leadership and vision is evident, and his campaign is expected to gain further momentum. As the 2027 general election approaches, Obanla’s campaign is well-positioned, driven by his commitment to the progress of Kwara South.
