Kwara South Senate Seat: Remain True To Your ‘Goal’, Kwara APC Chairman Tells KSUG Leaders
Leaders and members of the Kwara South Unity Group (KSUG) were on Saturday commended for doing what is necessary to strengthen the ‘bond of unity’ in Kwara South and ensuring that this remains indestructible.
Kwara State APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, who said this during the meeting the KSUG leaders held with indigenes of Kwara South, who are party officials at the local government, senatorial and state levels on Saturday, emphasized the need for unity and cohesion in the state chapter of the party.

The meeting was held at the state secretariat of the party in Ilorin.
Prince Sunday Fagbemi thanked the KSUG leaders for preaching unity while noting that the Igbomina lokan cause they are espousing is self-explanatory.
He told the KSUG leaders that to achieve the hoped-for results, members of the group must demonstrate selflessness, show commitment and remain true to their ‘goal’.
While emphasizing the need for party members to sustain their loyalty to the party and to also ensure that they mobilize people to participate in the ongoing Nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, he also urged political office holders and other stakeholders to demonstrate that they attach importance to matters concerning the party and its future by mobilizing people who have just turned 18 or have relocated from one place to another and ensure that they get on the ‘electoral register’.
Earlier, former chairman of Oyun local government, Hon Adebayo Jimoh Alao, who led the KSUG delegation, submitted that the need for an organized effort to promote and achieve equitable treatment and opportunities for the three blocs in Kwara South gave birth to the ‘Igbomina lokan’ campaign.
Ahead of the 2027 General Election, the KSUG leaders and members, he added, have taken it upon themselves to advocate for fairness and equity in order to strengthen unity and cohesion in the senatorial district.
The Ekiti bloc, Hon Alao noted, had occupied the parliament seat for 12 years while the Ibolo bloc that took over in 2015, would be completing its 12 years in 2027, it was therefore in recognition of this fact that the group took a decision to embark on ‘Igbomina lokan’ campaign to promote fairness and equity.
‘The bloc that deserves to produce the next occupant of the Kwara South Senate seat is Igbomina and this will help to avoid tensions and promote oneness’ he said.

Former chairman of Ifelodun local government, Dr Babatunde Salami, Mr Agbenisi John from Ekiti local government, former chairman of Isin local government, Hon Tunde fadipe, and Alhaja Amina Folake Yusuf in their separate speeches asserted that the ‘Igbomina lokan’ agenda is a just cause adding that there is a good reason for the Igbomina bloc to demand for the senate seat in 2027 while emphasizing the need to ensure fairness and equity.

Party officials that attended the meeting include the state APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi, State Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Babatunde Olawale , State Youth Leader, Hon Lawal Sulaimon Duduyemi , chairman of the party in Ifelodun local government, Hon Abubakar Lukman and his deputy, Alhaji Jamiu Akano, Hon Ayoola Ajibola, Ekiti local government APC Chairman, and others-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
