Kwara South PDP Senate candidate, Alhaji Rafiu Ibrahim , has built two stainless steel 3, 000 -gallon Water Tanks to provide water for residents of Igbaja, Ifelodun local government, Kwara state.
Rafiu Ibrahim’s media office noted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Friday night that this was in continuation of his community impact Intervention projects.
The statement added that the water tanks located in front of the palace of the Elese of Igbajaland had before now gotten badly corroded and residents of the town had reasoned that it was no longer safe to drink or use water sourced from such a reservoir for other needs.
‘All efforts to get it done through community contribution and government intervention did not yield meaningful results.
However, upon receiving the report of the badly damaged Water tanks , Senator Rafiu Ibrahim immediately considered the idea of providing the community with two 3, 000-gallon water tanks .
As we speak , the water system is fully back to life with residents and community associations hailing the Senator that cares
This is coming, one week after a community in Oyun local government had received a similar gesture of goodwill from Dr Rafiu Ibrahim’ the statement noted.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of Igbaja people, Pastor Toyin Alabi, who is the President of Igbaja Progressive Union, commended Senator Rafiu Ibrahim for his commitment to service to humanity while wishing him success in respect of his 2023 aspiration. He also prayed that Rafiu earns victory in the upcoming Kwara South senate election , noting that such a man will do more for the people if given further opportunity.
‘My people , I have a good news to share with you all, this evening ,we have successfully replaced the badly corroded metal tank in front of Elese Palace with two 3, 000- gallon water tanks at the market square. This is courtesy of our amiable and caring Distinguished Senator Rafiu Ibrahim .
May the Lord bless our incoming Senator and make it easy for him to get to the Red Chamber in 2023 so that he can do more for us in Igbaja .To God alone be all the Glory’ Alabi said.
The statement added that the Motorized Borehole situated opposite the Palace of Elese of Igbaja and adjacent Igbaja market square was part of the Community water intervention projects facilitated by former Senator Rafiu Ibrahim while serving as a member of the House of Representatives.
