Kwara United FC: Nurudeen Adeyemi Fulfills ₦500,000 Pledge, Praises Gov AbdulRazaq’s Support For Sports Devt

Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi, who is a member of the Board of TETFUND where he represents the North Central geopolitical zone, has fulfilled his ₦500,000 pledge to Kwara United Football Club following the team’s 1–1 draw against Kano Pillars F.C. on Sunday.

‘By fulfilling the promised financial support, Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi aims to boost the morale of the players and technical crew as the club continues its battle to retain its Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) status.

The team was promised 1 million naira if they won.  Unfortunately, the game ended in a draw.  Given that the team gave maximum effort and fought gallantly, he promised to make N500,000 cash reward available to the Kwara United FC during a locker room speech as a way of motivating them’ a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com said.

Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi, a staunch supporter of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, noted that the kind gesture is intended to complement the governor’s sustained investment and commitment to sports development in the state, especially football.

‘The Harmony Boys are our pride. We must rally behind them to sustain their league status. Supporting the team is also in alignment with the governor’s vision of strengthening sports as a tool for youth engagement, unity, and state pride’ the statement quoted him as saying.

He also emphasized that the current administration in the state has continued to demonstrate leadership in repositioning sports infrastructure and encouraging excellence across sectors, noting that stakeholders must collectively reinforce these efforts.

Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi urged supporters and football enthusiasts across Kwara State to come out in large numbers to cheer the team to victory in their next fixture.

‘Kwara United F.C. will host Rivers United F.C. on Wednesday at the Rashidi Yekini Main Bowl in an outstanding NPFL Matchday 22 encounter. A victory in the crucial tie will significantly improve the club’s standing as the season progresses.

Engineer Adeyemi restates his continued support for initiatives that promote youth development, community pride, and sustainable growth through sports in the state’ the statement added-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
