Kwara Works Ministry Announces Alternate Routes As Construction Work Begins On Ilorin Roads
The Ministry of Works and Transport, Kwara state, has announced different alternate routes to ease traffic congestion as construction work begins on some roads in Ilorin, the state capital.
The roads are Post Office-Emir’s- Road and Isale Oja road.
‘The construction work, which had earlier been approved by the cabinet, is part of the urban renewal projects of the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration’ Commissioner for Works and Transport ,Engr Abdulquawiy Olododo submitted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Tuesday.
‘We advise that commuters should make use of alternate routes in Taiwo Isale, Edun, Obo Road, Niger Road, Opomalu, Centre Igboro, Balogun Fulani, and Bolanta Roads to connect other parts of the Ilorin metropolitan areas while the reconstruction is ongoing.
To ensure the smooth commencement of reconstruction work on these roads, we also advise residents to remove all vehicles on both sides of the construction routes.
While we acknowledge the inconveniences that commuters and residents may experience during the reconstruction of these roads, we seek cooperation and patience as the government builds a resilient infrastructure and lasting legacy for our beloved state.
We appreciate His Excellency for his commitment to building safer, smoother, and more beautiful roads that will grow the economy of our state.

The dual carriageway on the Emir’s Road which was started by the Adamu Attah administration was taken to completion by the military administration headed by Group Captain Salaudeen Adebola Olatinwo .
