Lakurawa Kingpin, Maigemu, Killed In Kebbi
Maigemu ,a Lakurawa kingpin, was on Thursday killed in Kebbi State by a combined team of security agents, including vigilantes.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Governor Nasir Idris’ Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that the Director of Security, Cabinet Office, Birnin Kebbi, Alhaji AbdulRahman Usman Zagga, disclosed this on Friday.
Zagga said Maigemu was neutralized in Kuncin Baba , Arewa Local Government, a remote area with challenging terrain, after a fierce gun battle on Thursday.
This success comes just a week after the governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, the Kauran Gwandu, visited Bagiza and Rausa Kade communities in Arewa Local Government to condole with residents over the killing of six people by suspected Lakurawa cattle rustlers.
‘During the governor’s visit, he assured the affected communities of immediate security reinforcements and strategic measures to tackle criminal activities in the area.
Today, his proactive approach has yielded results with the elimination of this kingpin. His corpse is available as evidence’ the statement quoted Zagga as saying.
He commended Governor Idris for his commitment to security and the continued provision of logistic support to security personnel, especially those on special operations.
