Lawal Hussein, Kamaldeen Akanbi, Musa Atoyebi, Other Prominent Kwarans Honoured With ‘Merit Award’ In Erin-Ile
A businessman and popular politician in Oyun local government, Kwara State, Hon Lawal Hussein aka Moje, has been honoured with ‘Merit Award’ by an Islamic organization in recognition of his altruistic acts, his role in the propagation of Islam and service to humanity.
Team@orientactualmags.com reports that the organizers of the event also noted that Hon Lawal Husesin has proven himself to be a lover of Islam while commending him for all the good deeds he has done.
Hon Lawal Hussein, a Kwara State APC big wig, was honoured with the award by an Islamic organization, Naḥnun A’Shabaab Nuru-Li-Muhammad wa Tanfizuli-Qur’an Izobatul Abutawiy Al-Adaby, Oke Afolu, Erin-Ile, Kwara State, during its 6th Maolud Nabiyy and Awards Ceremony on Sunday.
The event was held to celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and to also recognize individuals who have shown dedication and commitment to promoting Islamic teachings, and Islamic education in the ancient town.
Hon Hussein Lawala, who is popularly called ‘Moje’, is the National President of Association of Arewa Yoruba Youths. He had also at different times served as member of the Governing Council of Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies, Ilorin, National Secretary of Erin-Ile Progressive Union and Welfare Officer of Kwara State Association of Nigeria, United Kingdom.
The event held at Oke-Afolu Mosque, Erin-Ile, Kwara State had Fadheelat Sheikh Asimiyu Alalade Oluokun (Al-Abutawi Al-Adaby) as Chief Host while Fadheelat Sheikh Abdulazeez AbdulGaniyu Aboto (Al-Adaby) was the Guest Speaker.
Alhaji Sarafadeen Akorede, Alhaji Abdulhakeem Ganiyu (P.A.), Alhaji Muideen Afolabi Afem were the Chairmen of the Day while Alhaja Jemilat Abioye, Alhaja Rasheedat Abdulazeez (Elewe-Omo), and Alhaja Tawakalitu Naibul-Imam were the chairpersons of the Day.
Other prominent Kwarans who received ‘Merit Award’ at the event include Prince Musa Atoyebi, a member of Kwara State House of Assembly, Hon.
