Living To Read My Own Obituary ‘Disturbing’, Those Behind It ‘ll Not ‘Escape’ Tragedy –Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has described living to read his own obituary as ‘disturbing’, submitting that contrary to social media reports, he is alive.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, a retired General and former Military Head of State, said this while giving his speech during the inauguration of the 2.7kilometre old garage-Lameco road project in Osogbo, Osun State capital, on Tuesday.
‘I heard the rumour that I was dead. I saw it on social media. I quickly told my children and my relations that it was not true and that I was alive. Those who want me dead, that is their wish but God is still keeping me alive.
Why would anyone wish me dead? Those who harbour such thoughts will not escape tragedy themselves.
This kind of rumour is not only disturbing but shows the extent to which some people misuse technology. It is unacceptable’ Obasanjo said.
Also speaking, Governor Ademola Adeleke said his administration is committed to delivering on his agenda to revive the economy of the state through the development of infrastructure.
‘To revive the state and deliver on good governance, my administration launched a five-point agenda. We targeted specific areas of needs of the people which form the major components of the clearly defined agenda. The goal principally was to address the aspirations and immediate needs of our people.
Our administration has constructed over 120 kilometers of roads across the state. Several inter- state and intra-city roads that have been completed are to be inaugurated during this 16 –day event to mark our 2nd anniversary. Two major flyovers are also progressing to completion in Osogbo while works are progressing at the Ile Ife Flyover and Ilesa dualization projects.
I have redirected our efforts and plans in respect of the completion of Iwo-Osogbo road. We have added the dualisation of Odoori – Adeeke road inside Iwo to be executed in two phases. The first phase will reach Post -Office and Oluwo Palace while the second phase will take off from Post Office to Adeeke Junction.
For the second half of our government, I reassure all sons and daughters of Osun State that the government under my leadership will complete all ongoing projects. We will continue to address the infra and social needs of our people. We will strike a balance between hard and soft infrastructure’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
