LP Candidate Congratulates Gov Seyi Makinde On His Election Victory

Alhaji Tawfiq Akinwale, who was the Labour Party gubernatorial candidate in the governorship election held in Oyo state  on Saturday, 18 March 2023, has congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde on his election victory.

Akinwale in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Sunday however emphasized the need for the governor to  make use of developmental ideas from former co- contestants.

‘In the spirit of sportsmanship, this is to congratulate His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde on his victory in the just concluded election in our dear state.

Oyo state is ours and the peace to foster growth must be sustained. This win is a call for you to remember the local governments and to do more for the people at the rural level across the state. The purpose of contesting for the office is to serve the good people of Oyo State. This should always be upheld as a better Oyo State is achievable.

However, making use of developmental ideas from  former co-contestants  will not be out of place since everyone is particular about good governance that offers the people dividends of democracy.
