Man Connives With Others To Kidnap 6-Year-Old Cousin, Uses Razor Blade To Kill Her After Payment Of N8m Ransom
A stony-hearted man, Abdul Azeez Idris, has been arrested and taken into custody by the police in Kaduna state.
Abdul Azeez Idris was arrested for allegedly abducting and killing his 6-year-old cousin, Aisha Dahiru.
He was also said to have used a razor blade to kill the young girl because he was worried that she had seen his face.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that spokesman for the state police Command, Mansir Hassan, disclosed Azeez’s arrest in a statement he issued on Sunday adding that Aisha was kidnapped while on her way to Islamiya school(Qur’anic school).
Hassan noted that the young girl was killed after getting recognized by her cousin where she was kept.
The police spokesman, who said the incident happened on February 12, 2024, added that the girl was killed after an unknown caller had collected N8 million ransom from the family.
He added that the case has since been referred to the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the state police command following the complaint filed by the victim’s father, Saidu Dahiru.
‘On February 12, 2024, at about 1 00 hrs, Mr. Saidu Dahiru, father of the victim, a resident of Angwan Juma’a, Zaria, reported to the Zaria City police station that his daughter, Aisha Saidu, a six-year-old female, went missing on her way to Islamiyya school.
According to Mr. Dahiru, Aisha was allegedly abducted by her cousin, Abdulazeez Idris, also residing in Angwan Juma’a, Zaria. Following her disappearance, Dahiru received a phone call from an unknown individual, later identified as the perpetrator, demanding a ransom of ₦8,000,000 (eight million naira) for her safe return.
The case was transferred to the Anti Kidnapping Unit of SCID, Kaduna, where they traced and arrested the perpetrator, identified as Abdulazeez Idris, in Makarfi Local Government.
The suspect confessed to the heinous crime, admitting to slaying the innocent child by brutally slashing her neck with a razor blade because she recognized him and then went on to dump her lifeless body in a well’ he said.
Hassan quoted the state Commissioner of Police, Audu Ali to have assured members of the public that the case would be diligently investigated to ensure that justice is served for Aisha Saidu and her grieving family.
