Man Sues Estranged Wife, New Husband, Father In-Law For Bigamy In Kwara
A resident of Kwara state, Mr Ayuba Sule , has taken his estranged wife, Hawawu Haruna, her new husband, Jemilu Bahause and her father , Haruna Danjuma to court.
He has accused them of bigamy.
Sule, who lives in Otte , Asa local government , Kwara state claimed in the suit he filed at the family Court that a marriage ceremony was held to sanction contract between him and Hawawu while adding that his father-in-law played a major role in the marriage ceremony.
He alleged that his father in-law was however instrumental in Hawawu getting married to Bahause on August 6, 2022 while the marriage contract with him (Sule) was still subsisting
‘Alhaji Haruna Danjuma ,who is the father of my wife (Awawu), in order to conceal the illegality, relocated her daughter and the new husband, Jemilu Bahause to an unknown location and they have since been living together as husband and wife’ he said.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned Magistrate Abdulraheem Bello, who presided over the case , ordered that Awawu, her father and the new husband, Jemilu should be remanded in the federal Correctional facility, Ilorin.
He later adjourned the matter until September 26, 2022 for hearing- Team@orientactualmags.com
