Maritime Sector: Oyebamiji Receives Honorary Fellowship From CIOTA In Abuja
The Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (CIOTA) has awarded its prestigious honorary fellowship to the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Mr. Bola Oyebamiji citing his sterling qualities and outstanding performance in the nation’s maritime transport industry.
The Governing Council of the Honorary Fellow Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria (FCIOTA) praised Oyebamiji’s exemplary leadership since assumption of office as NIWA Managing Director, saying his performance has been second to none since the establishment of the agency.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Friday noted that the decision to award the fellowship to Oyebamiji was in recognition of his landmark achievements and tremendous contribution to nation- building, national socioeconomic developments and unwavering commitment to actualizing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the Marine and Blue Economy Ministry which is being supervised by Alhaji Adegboyega Oyetola.
Oyebamiji received the fellowship award during the FCIOTA’s 6th National Transport Conference which was held at NICON Luxury Hotel, Abuja.
The Governing Council and members of the Chartered Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria noted that the fellowship award was a clear testimony to Oyebamiji’s relentless efforts to reposition and turn around the socioeconomic fortunes of NIWA as manifested in the giant strides recorded so far.
President of FCIOTA , Prince Segun Ochuko Obayendo, who acknowledged Oyebamiji’s administrative acumen and managerial prowess, also praised his stellar performance and quality service delivery while hailing the proactive steps he has taken to ensure all round security and safety on Nigeria’s inland waterways.
He also noted that Oyebamiji got the fellowship award based on merit.
