Media Reports Claiming I Urged President Tinubu To Probe Buhari, Others ‘Untrue’-Emir Of Minna
The Emir of Minna, Alhaji Umaru Faruq Bahago, has described as untrue media reports claiming that he urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to probe his predecessors.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the monarch in a statement issued on Saturday by the Secretary of Minna Emirate Council, Alhaji Garba Kuta, clarified that the statement in question was made by one of the chiefs in the Minna Emirate Council, Malam Musa Maikudi (Achaza), the Hadimin Minna, during a particular event while adding that what he said was misrepresented.
‘The event was held to sensitize citizens on the federal government intervention programmes at the state and local government levels, and it was organized by the office of the Minister of Information and National Orientation in Minna’ he said.
The monarch noted that he has always maintained a neutral stance on matters that have to do with politics in Niger State and the country as a whole, adding that as a traditional ruler, he is a father figure to all and would not support any social or political group.
Bahago also reaffirmed his unwavering support for the President Bola Tinubu administration while urging him to remain focused with respect to his drive to reposition the country’s economy.
‘Our goal is to see that Nigeria progresses in all areas of human endeavour regardless of who or the political party in power.
And I urge all district heads and turbaned chiefs in my domain to also remain neutral and refrain from commenting on issues on my behalf without seeking prior approval and clearance’ he added.
