Moshood Adeoti Gets Recognized As Numero uno In Osun Politics As Gov Adeleke Holds Closed-Door Meeting With Him In Iwo

Governorship election will hold in Osun State on August 8, 2026, and a former Secretary to the state Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti has gotten recognized as the numero uno in State of the Living Spring’s politics.

He has actually become one of the most talked-about politicians in the state.

Adeoti was the state ACN Chairman before getting appointed as Secretary to the State Government by Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in 2010. He left APC to pick up African Democratic Party (ADP) nomination ahead of the 2018 gubernatorial election.

Ahead of the 2026 guber election, the former SSG began to get a great of public attention a few days ago after he ended his membership of Omoluabi Progressives, a group comprising members of ADC who are Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s loyalists.

While he had cited intense family pressure calling for a break from politics and a need to focus on personal matters, many had submitted that he left ADC because he failed to get the party’s guber nomination.

While sources said APC is trying to woo Adeoti , Governor Ademola Adeleke, top government functionaries and Accord Party bigwigs also visited the former SSG at his Iwo residence on Thursday.

The governor and his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi and others were warmly received by the Adeoti women group who sang and danced to welcome them to the former SSG’s residence.

Hon Adeoti noted that women are important when it comes to mobilization of voters while the women group responded with ‘political songs’ in praise of the governor.

Governor Adeleke also appreciated the women and danced with them while he later met with Alhaji Adeoti behind closed doors.

The governor was accompanied by Chief of Staff, Government House, Osogbo, Hon Kazeem Akinleye, Secretary to the State government, Hon Teslim Igbalaye, Commissioner for Information, Hon Kolapo Alimi; Commissioner for Political Affairs, Dr Biyi Odunlade and Political Adviser, Hon Muniru Raji-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
