My Relationship With Davido And Sophia Momodu-Tiwa Savage
Tiwatope Savage who is popularly called Tiwa Savage, has disclosed what led to the dispute between her and Mr David Adeleke in December 2023, and why she took a decision to involve the police in the matter.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Tiwa Savage , who revisited the issue during an interview with The Breakfast Club on Tuesday, said her social media post about Mr David Adeleke’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu caused the rift.
Mr David Adeleke , a hip hop act, is popularly called Davido.
He was apparently of the opinion that the popular female musician had taken sides in respect of the rift between him and his baby mama.
Tiwa Savage has described this as a product of miscommunication between her and Davido.
‘Even if I did know, I don’t think I would have chosen a side. It’s not my business to take sides’ she said.
‘Our kids are friends, and they’ve gone to the same school since they were one. They’re 10 now. I’ve known David before that, but I naturally grew a relationship with the mother of their kid. And I didn’t really know there were issues.
I guess I was at an event and she was too. Naturally, we greeted each other. He saw that, and he took it the wrong way. I think it was a misunderstanding. He felt like I knew what was happening and was on her side—but that’s not the case. This is just a woman I know, who is the mother of my son’s friend’ Tiwa added.
She also explained reasons why she had to involve the police after the ‘be careful in Lagos’ message from Davido.
‘I don’t think he was ever going to carry it out. David is such a joyful person, and I know he didn’t mean it the way it sounded… I always put our kids first, and that’s why I feel I have to be respectful to the mother of a child. It’s all about love.
I reached out to members of his family before I did anything. I was hearing threats and asked if we could resolve it, but none of them came back to me. I just wanted to ensure safety for everyone involved, and that was why I filed the petition. It wasn’t about revenge’ she added-Team@orientactualmags.com
