NA Leadership Elections: APC Endorses Akpabio For Senate President, Tajudeen For Speaker…Wase, Doguwa Voice Objections
Ahead of the leadership elections in the senate and the House of Representatives, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced support for some party members who they have asked the senators-elect and members -elect to elect to leadership positions in the 10th National Assembly.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that APC through its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka on Monday announced decision to endorse Senator Godswill Akpabio for Senate President with Senator Barau Jibrin as his deputy .
Hon. Abbas Tajudeen and Ben Kalu were also announced as Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively.
Ahmed Idris Wase, who is currently serving as Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the Majority Leader, Alhasan Ado Doguwa, however voiced objections to the party’s decision during the press conference they jointly presided over on Monday submitting that they would not allow the 10th National Assembly to be ‘hijacked’-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
