Najeem Ogundeyi Takes Over As Kwara Customs Chief, Promises To Uphold Standards, Values
DC Najeem Akanmu Ogundeyi has taken over as head of the Kwara Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Ilorin.
During a short handing over ceremony at the Area Command’s headquarter in Ilorin, the outgoing Area Controller, Comptroller Faith Mathew Ojeifo expressed sincere appreciation to members of the area command, sister security agencies, and the stakeholders for their immense cooperation during his tenure.
‘Together, we recorded commendable achievements in revenue generation, enforcement, and service delivery’ a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by spokesman for the Kwara Area Command, S.M Suleiman quoted Ojeifo as saying.
The outgoing Controller added that he has absolute confidence in the leadership capacity, experience, and professionalism of the Acting Controller, DC Najeem Akanmu Ogundeyi while urging members of the Area Command to give him maximum support, loyalty, and cooperation in order to have a successful tenure.
‘I remain grateful to the Comptroller General of Customs for the opportunity to serve, and I wish Kwara Area Command continued peace, progress, and operational excellence’ he added.
The Acting Area Controller, DC Najeem Akanmu Ogundeyi, expressed appreciation to the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi and his management team for giving him the rare opportunity to serve the nation in this capacity while extending sincere appreciation to retired Comptroller Faith Mathew Ojeifo and commending him for his outstanding dedication, professionalism, and exemplary leadership throughout his tenure noting that his unwavering commitment to duty, discipline, and service has laid a strong foundation upon which the Area Command will continue to build.
‘As I assume this office, I am fully aware of the responsibilities and challenges it entails. I do not take this assignment lightly, and I am committed to upholding the standards, values, and excellence of the Service. With the cooperation and support of members of the Area Command, we will continue to achieve our shared objectives’ he said.
The Acting CAC emphasized that he strongly believes in teamwork, professionalism, transparency, and discipline as the pillars of effective leadership while reiterating that his leadership approach will be anchored on mutual respect, strict adherence to rules and regulations, and an unwavering commitment to effective service delivery.
‘Every officer and personnel will be motivated to give their utmost best, recognizing that our collective effort is central to our success’ he said.
Ogundeyi also urged all members of the Area Command to extend to him the same level of cooperation, dedication and support they gave his immediate predecessor.
