Nasarawa Varsity Student Arrested For Raping Fellow Student Who Was At His Apartment To ‘Collect’ Food Items Sent By Her Mother

Gabriel David, a 400-level student at the Nasarawa state University, Keffi, has been arrested and taken into custody by the police in Nasarawa state.

He has been accused of raping a fellow student, who is also his townmate. The victim is a 100-level student at the institution.

Team@orientactualmags.com  learned that spokesman for the state police command, Ramhan Nansel, disclosed this while talking to journalists in Lafia on Saturday.

Nansel said the suspect was arrested by cops attached to the Agwan Lambu Division close to the university in Keffi Local Government for allegedly raping the 100- level female student in question while noting that the incident happened on May 9, 2024.

He said, ‘Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect travelled to the village where he and the victim hail from. So, the victim’s parents gave the suspect some food items to give to the victim since they are schooling in the same school.
When he brought the food items, he called the victim to come over to his place of residence to collect the food items sent by her parents.
On her arrival at his residence, he dragged the victim into his room and had unlawful sex with her’.

Nansel added that sequel to his arrest, the suspect was immediately transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Lafia, where he confessed to committing the crime.
