New IGP: VP Shettima Presides Over Rank Wearing Ceremony In Abuja…I’m Ready To Devour Nigeria’s Internal Enemies-Egbetokun
Vice President Kashim Shettima on Tuesday presided over the rank wearing ceremony of the nation’s new police chief, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun at the State House, Abuja.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the ceremony which started at 1 pm was attended by the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Governor Hope Uzodinma; the President’s Chief of Staff, Hon Femi Gbajabiamila; the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; and Egbetokun’s immediate predecessor, Usman Baba Alkali.
This had come barely 24 hours after Egbetokun’s appointment as new acting Inspector-General of Police.
The new police chief later told journalists that he felt like ‘a tiger ready to devour Nigeria’s internal enemies’ .
He is expected to formally assume office at the Force Headquarters , Abuja tomorrow , Wednesday , June 21, 2023, at 11:00 a.m-Team@orientactualmags.com
