New Naira Notes: Police Say Hoodlums Plotting To Attack Commercial Banks In Kwara, Take Proactive Measures
The police on Saturday disclosed that a plot by hoodlums to attack commercial banks in Kwara state has been uncovered.
Spokesman for the Nigeria Police Force in Kwara state, Mr Ajayi Okasanmi, a Superintendent of Police, who disclosed this in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that proactive measures had since been taken while submitting that anyone found to have tried doing such a thing will be arrested and prosecuted.
‘Intelligence available to the command showed that hoodlums have perfected plans to replicate the lawlessness that was unleashed on some banks in some states in the country, owing to the crisis emanating from the Naira notes swap that is ongoing in Nigeria and which the government is doing all within its power to normalize.
The command wishes to assure the good people of Kwara State of its capacity to deal ruthlessly with any lawbreaker. Criminals are therefore advised to shelve any such dastardly idea.
Consequently, the Commissioner of Police, Kwara State, CP Paul Odama, psc (+), has ordered aggressive patrols of commercial banks and other financial facilities across the length and breadth of the state, warning criminal elements in the state to change their minds as anyone arrested would be met with heavy consequences.
