New Onijagbo Of Ijagbo, Buhari Adeniyi ,Receives Letter Of Appointment In Ilorin
HRH , Oba Buhari Adeniyi ,who was appointed as Onijagbo of Ijagbo , Oyun local government , Kwara state, last week , has received his letter of appointment.
This comes a few days after the traditional ruler, who is of the Second-Class category, was picked for the exalted position sequel to observance of all laid-down procedures.
The state Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Hon. Aliyu Kora Sabi, while presenting the letter of appointment to the Ijagbo monarch in Ilorin, the state capital, commended the people of Ijagbo for the seamless selection process of the new Oba.
He said the occasion further demonstrated the respect the present administration accords the traditional institution in the state.
Sabi congratulated the royal father on his ascension to the throne and wished him a peaceful and progressive reign.
He urged the people of Ijagbo to join hands with the new traditional ruler to move the community forward, adding that the new Onijagbo cannot do it alone.
Oba Adeniyi, in his acceptance speech, assured his people of a selfless service that will strengthen peace and progress in the community.
