New Year:  Gov Bagudu Congratulates Nigerians, Preaches Peace, Unity 

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu  of Kebbi state has emphasized the need for sustainable peace and unity in the state and Nigeria in general to ensure an enduring national development.

Bagudu, who is also the Chairman of the APC Governors’ Forum, said this in his New Year message on Sunday.

The governor in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.comon Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Yahaya Sarki noted that peace and unity are important ingredients of national development and will ensure that the country does not continue to lag behind.

Kebbi, he noted, has gotten recognized as one of  the most peaceful states in the country owing to the disposition of people of the State that peaceful coexistence was sacrosanct if development was to be achieved.

He also admonished the citizens of the state and other Nigerians  to imbibe the spirits of patriotism and the love for one another.

  Bagudu further noted  that the new year, 2023 is an important one as the general election will hold soon.

The governor emphasized the need for peaceful electioneering activities by the political parties in a  violence-free atmosphere while all and sundry should also  ensure the conduct of free, fair and credible elections.

He recalled that the year 2022 was an usually tough one globally, saying that it came with a myriad of challenges.

‘However, the Almighty God will make the new year much easier and less traumatic for all of us.

We are also confident that the forthcoming polls will be conducted peacefully and the prevailing security challenges will soon be surmounted’ he submitted-Team@orientactualmags.com
