The DIYO Support Group has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Dr Ibrahim Yahaya Oloriegbe as Chairman of the Governing Council of National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) while praising the governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for facilitating the appointment.
The group’s spokesperson, Engr. Jimoh Ajani, who said this during the press conference he presided over in Ilorin on Wednesday which was attencded by journalists including Team@orientactualmags.com described the appointment as a significant milestone in Nigeria’s journey towards improved healthcare and governance.
‘We are thrilled to see Sen. Oloriegbe, a renowned healthcare expert, take the helm of the NHIA Governing Council’ Ajani submitted.
He praised President Tinubu for recognizing Dr Oloriegbe’s exceptional qualifications and expertise in the healthcare sector, accumulated over three decades of medical practice and legislative advocacy.
‘Sen. Oloriegbe’s wealth of experience in healthcare policy and administration makes him an ideal candidate for this position’ he added.
The group also acknowledged Governor AbdulRazaq’s role in respect of the appointment, highlighting his commitment to healthcare reform and development in the state.
‘We appreciate the governor’s unwavering support for Sen. Oloriegbe’s appointment’ he said while adding that ‘Sen. Oloriegbe’s credentials, including his experience as a medical practitioner, legislator, and health policy expert, make him an ideal candidate for the position’.
‘He has demonstrated his commitment to healthcare reform through his legislative advocacy and policy initiatives’ Ajani also submitted.
The DIYO Support Group pledged to mobilize grassroots support for NHIA initiatives and provide feedback mechanisms to enhance service delivery.
