No Casualty As Fire Destroys Part Of NYSC Headquarters In Abuja
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) submitted on Friday that a fire incident was recorded at its headquarters in Abuja .
Team@orientactualmags.com learned the Director, Press Relations of the NYSC, Eddy Megwa, who disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja, noted that there was however no casualty.
He said the fire was immediately put out by the Federal Capital Territory and the Federal Fire Service Departments, adding that the inferno which started at about 7:30 a.m did not go beyond the third floor of the six-storey building.
Eddy noted that the floor is occupied by Planning, Research and Statistics, and the General Service Department, saying the fire affected only one room where there are electronic gadgets.
‘Fortunately enough, no life was lost and all vital documents were promptly evacuated and safeguarded.
The management of the scheme heartily appreciates the Federal and FCT Fire Service Departments for their prompt response which minimized the effect of the incident.
