Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa state has asserted that the relationship between him and his immediate predecessor , Seriake Dickson , has remained ‘excellent’ while also adding that his deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo’s loyalty was not in doubt.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned the governor in a statement issued by his aide, Dr Kola Oredipe, also noted that he has implicit confidence in Ewhrudjakpo, describing him as a worthy partner in the governance of the state.
Some members of the Bayelsa state PDP under the umbrella of the Bayelsa Progressive Vanguard (BPV), had on Sunday condemned the activities of the deputy governor alleging that he was working against the interest of the governor.
BVP had in a statement signed by its leader, Erepadei Ebiowei said it had observed with dismay that most of the actions of Ewhrujakpor were unbecoming of a deputy governor.
The group alleged that the deputy governor was running a parallel administration within the government despite the latitude he had enjoyed courtesy of the governor.
It also accused Ewhrujakpor of holding meetings with aggrieved PDP members and candidates of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the state- Team@orientactualmags.com
