Not Having Osinbajo As President Has Put Nigeria ‘At A Disadvantage’-Lamido Sanusi

That Nigeria had not been lucky to have Vice President Yemi Osinbajo  as its first citizen has placed the country at a disadvantage, a one-time governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, and former Emir of Kano,  Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, has said.

He added that it was unfortunate that the political system had failed to produce him as Nigeria’s next president.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned Sanusi said this while giving his speech during a virtual book launch on Monday, the book was titled: ‘Osinbajo Strides: Defining Moments of an Innovative Leader’.

‘And I dare say, we all agree that Nigeria is worse off for not having someone like him (Osinbajo) as president, but I do hope that he will be available to serve and to advise and to put in his best for the country and continue to do.

So I’m sure he will, in whatever capacity he finds himself in the future, and maybe we’ll still be lucky to have him lead us at some point or take some leadership role as a statesman’ Sanusi said.

It will be recalled that the APC presidential primary election held in Abuja  on June 8  2022  had Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo among the contestants.

While Tinubu , who got party nomination and eventually won the presidential election held on February 25 , 2023 ,  got 1,271 votes,  Osinbajo had 235 votes-Team@orientactualmags.com
