Notorious Bandit, Mainasara, Gunned Down By Soldiers In Kebbi
A notorious bandit, who was nicknamed as ‘Mainasara’ , has been killed by soldiers in Malekachi , Danko Wasagu Local Government, Kebbi state.
Two other suspected bandits believed to be members of the gang headed by Mainasara , who were carrying out obnoxious attacks and kidnappings in communities in the areas were also successfully neutralized by the army.
The Director of Security, Cabinet Office , Birnin Kebbi, AbdulRahman Usman, disclosed this in a statement he issued in Birnin Kebbi and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Tuesday.
‘As the troops were on routine patrol in Sengeko forest at about 0730hrs, they engaged the bandits in a fierce gun duel.
‘During the exchange of fire, the bandits tried to escape but were neutralized by the army and two of their bikes were also recovered and destroyed in the process before the troops withdrew back to FOB Malekachi by 1230hrs’ he said.
Usman noted that the successes recorded by the security agents in the state was because the governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, the Kauran Gwandu, has been proactive and unrelenting in his support particularly the provision of crucial logistics to the security personnel operating in the state-Team@orientactualmags.com
