Notorious Kidnapper, Dogo Oro, Gunned Down By Vigilantes In Kebbi
A notorious kidnapper, Dogo Oro, has been killed by local vigilantes in Tunga village, Bunza Local Government , Kebbi state.
Dogo was reportedly attacking people in villages near Kanzanna when he was killed on Friday.
He was proving himself as an archer when he was gunned down.
The Director of Security , Cabinet Office, Birnin Kebbi, AbdulRahman Usman, disclosed this in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Friday.
The suspected terrorist, the Director noted, was reported to have terrorized and kidnapped residents of Bunza Local Government and demanded for ransom at different times.
‘Security progress report indicated that today, 01/12/2023, from Tunga village, Tilli ward, Bunza local Government .
A notorious kidnapper called Dogo Oro, who was well -known for terrorism in Bunza and Kalgo Local Governments has been killed this morning by our men, the vigilantes at Tunga area.
In an attempt to kidnap his victims using bow and arrow, shooting people, the vigilante shot him down’ he said.
The director happily noted that with the successful operation by the local vigilantes, residents of the affected communities can now go about their normal business activities unhindered with the security of their lives and property guaranteed.
While applauding the gallant efforts of the vigilantes in supporting the security agencies, Usman also appreciated the unending support of Governor Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu in making sure that the security challenges being experienced in some areas of the state are addressed .
‘The Kauran Gwandu- led administration is on its toes to keep Kebbi people and their properties safe.
He maintains regular security meetings, regular logistic support to the security personnel and he has set up a combined security task force team comprising all the security agencies in order to address banditry and any form of criminality in the state’ he added- Team@orientactualmags.com
