NTA: Rotimi Pedro, Stellar Din, 2 Others Lose Positions After 12 Days…Salihu Dembos, Adewuyi Reinstated
A statement issued by the presidency on Tuesday had Mr. Salihu Abdullahi Dembos and Mr Ayo Adewuyi reinstated as Director-General of the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) and the Director of News respectively.
It was a development that made Mr Rotimi Pedro and Stella Din lose their positions after 12 days. .
Recall that the presidency had on August 20,2025, announced the appointment of Pedro as Director General of NTA and Stella Din as Executive Director of News,
Dembos was appointed as Director General by President Bola Tinubu in October 2023, and he is expected to complete his three-year tenure while Mr. Ayo Adewuyi who was appointed in 2024, is also expected to end his tenure in 2027.
Also affected by the president’s decision are Sophia Mohammed and Karimah Bello who were appointed as Managing Director of NTA Enterprises Limited and Executive Director of Marketing respectively last month.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, who announced the reversal of the August appointments in a statement he issued in Abuja on Tuesday, noted that the president’s directive is to ensure continuity and respect for the tenures of officials who were previously appointed.
