
The National Universities Commission (NUC), has given the Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Ilorin, Kwara state, the go-ahead to offer a bachelor’s degree.
Mrs. R.O Solomon, who is the Ag. HOD, Special Duties, MINILS, noted in a statement issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com that this approval will allow products of the institute to participate in the Youth Service Corps Scheme (NYSC).
‘The Management of Michael Imoudu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Ilorin is excited to announce that the Institute has gained full accreditation for its B.Sc. programme in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
This development marks another historic milestone in the life of the Institute since its establishment about 40 years ago with the mandate of building the capacity of workers, government officials and employers of labour to achieve industrial harmony and sustainable development in the country.
Recall that the Institute recently matriculated 84 students enrolled into the programme which commenced in 2020. Consequently, mobilization into the Youth Service Corps Scheme (NYSC) will be granted to all the B.Sc. students at MINILS.
The Management of the Institute wishes to reaffirm its commitment to achieving its vision of becoming a Regional Centre of Excellence in Labour Studies and a globally renowned Labour institution.
