Nurudeen Adeyemi Urges Reawakening Of Spirit Of Community Devt In Kwara South
There is a need to reawaken the spirit of community development and make Kwara South get positioned to reclaim its lost glory, the well-being of the people of Kwara South will also be improved and enhanced once there is a collective identity, shared purpose, and commitment to helping the communities in the senatorial district grow and thrive.
Chief Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), who said this while talking to journalists including Team@orientactualmags.com in Ilorin on Monday, also emphasized the need to come up with strategies to stimulate growth and increase economic activity in Kwara South communities .

The TETFUND Board member, who was in Ilorin to attend the ‘stakeholder meeting’ organized by the Kwara South Development Initiative (KSDI), also said making the economic system in Kwara South communities more active, lively, and productive will help to change things for the better in the region especially in respect of security.
‘Well, from the convener’s speech so far which is what I have listened to, it is a well-intended programme. It is something along the line of community development that I have been advocating for over the years so, I align with the big picture view. Those of us who grew up in Kwara South, who were fortunate enough to go to school in Kwara South, I remember the sacrifices of our fathers in respect of establishment of community schools and things like that, which made men and women of us today. Without their efforts, most of us will not be where we are standing today. But unfortunately, our communities are somewhat empty due to lack of economic opportunities.
A lot of our brothers and sisters have had to seek  better opportunities outside the state and beyond, unfortunately, this has created vacuums and people that may not be totally friendly towards us have gradually moved in and occupied those empty spaces. So, the whole lecture today is about how do we rejuvenate the economic prosperity that will encourage people to return home and also enhance security.
If there are people around, the unsavoury elements will have no place to hide and that’s just part of my advice, all of should imbibe the spirit of community development, no one man can do it alone and our fathers did not do it alone.
So, the spirit of togetherness, the can-do spirit are important, and when the Lord God has buttered your bread, it is not the time to take your bread and go and hide in a corner, it is time to bring it out and share with other people ‘a rising tide lift all boats’ they say, and we should also attach importance to ‘living to embody’ he added-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
