Oba Ladoja Says He Looks Forward To Attending Gov Adeleke’s 2nd Inauguration As Olubadan Of Ibadan

 Olubadan of Ibadanland-designate, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja, who will receive Staff of Office and Instrument of Appointment on September 26, 2025, has declared support for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election bid.

Oba Ladoja, a former senator and a one-time governor of Oyo State, gave his endorsement while receiving Governor Adeleke during a congratulatory visit to his Ibadan residence on Tuesday.

Noting that he and the governor have things in common including serving as a senator and a governor, he added that while Adeleke now holds the revered title of Asiwaju of Edeland, he is also a monarch.

‘Every day we hear of your good works in Osun State, and we are proud of the progress you are bringing to your people. Your developmental strides should continue beyond 2026 because no one can stop the good work you are doing. As  Olubadan of Ibadan, I will personally attend your second inauguration because one good term deserves another’ a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed quoted the monarch as saying.

The Olubadan further commended Adeleke’s leadership with heartfelt words:

‘Your performance as a governor elates me. Osun is a difficult state to govern but you have changed the narrative. You are doing many wonderful things and I can see Osun people are happy with you. Keep it up. My prayer for you is that you will lead Osun to new and greater heights. You will overcome all obstacles on your path of governance. You will continue to shine as a leader of your people. The good Lord will uphold and protect you’ .

Reflecting on the Adeleke family’s legacy of service, the monarch added that;

‘You are from a family of excellent people. Your father, Senator Adeleke, your brother, my own Serubawon, Senator and former governor. Thank you for keeping the flag flying’.

Giving his speech, Governor Adeleke joyfully congratulated Oba Ladoja on his ascension to the throne of Ibadanland, describing it as well-deserved and historic while promising to honor the revered monarch with a befitting celebration at his coronation ceremony.

‘Kabiyesi, I deeply appreciate your guidance and wise counsel. Your leadership legacy continues to inspire me in Osun State. I pray for long life, filled with peace, joy, happiness, and divine blessings on the throne of your forefathers’ Governor Adeleke said.

The governor was accompanied by the Secretary to the State Government, Hon.
