Oba Of Benin Says Gov Okpebholo Is ‘A Rescuer’ Sent By Ancestors
His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, CFR, Oba of Benin submitted on Thursday that Governor Monday Okpebholo is a rescuer sent by the ancestors to restore the lost glory of Edo State.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Oba Ewuare said this during the governor’s visit to his palace in Benin after his judicial victory.
Recall that the Edo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal had on Wednesday upheld Governor Monday Okpebholo’s election victory.
The Benin monarch described the governor as a true traditional son of the land asking his ancestors to bless him and members of his household for not allowing those who wanted to destroy the state to do so.
In a rare move, the Oba lifted Okpebholo up from his kneeling position, expressed confidence that the Okpebholo administration would attract more development to the state.

Oba Ewuare, who spoke in Edo language, said, ‘It shall be well with you, your wife, and children. Your journey to Edo, our ancestors approved it. Our ancestors brought you to restore the lost glory of Edo State, which evil doers wanted to ruin. We have been praying, and we will continue to pray for you, not to allow evil forces to destroy Edo’.
Responding, Okpebholo thanked Oba Ewuare for his affection and intercession for him and the Edo State.
He described his election victory at the tribunal as historic and the ‘sweetest judgment ever’ in history, noting that the three-member panel was unanimous in the ruling.
‘This is the first time we have seen a judgment where all the judges agreed that Monday Okpebholo won the election’ the governor added-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
