Obi To Nigerian Politicians: Don’t Compete With Dangote…‘Political Office’ Not ‘Platform’ To Make Money
Former LP presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, has urged Nigerian politicians to always be conscious of the fact that being an occupant of a ‘political office’ should not be considered as an opportunity to amass wealth submitting that priority should rather be given to serving the people.
‘Being a leader is not a money-making venture. You’re not competing with Dangote. Dangote is a businessman. You should focus on what you were elected for.
You must choose your lane; if you want to be in government, be in government and serve the people. If you want to be a businessman, go and trade’ he said.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Mr Peter Obi ,who said this in a clip from his interview on the Honest Bunch podcast that was released on Sunday, also emphasized the importance of hard work and productivity, submitting that God cannot bless ‘someone who is sleeping’.
He noted that anyone claiming to have received credit alerts through prayer should be investigated for potential fraud.
‘God can bless hard work; God can bless productivity; God can bless an industry, but God cannot bless someone who is sleeping.
Anyone who tells you that he got an alert from praying should be arrested. He has stolen someone’s money. Simple!’ he added.
Mr. Peter Obi also argued that payment of tithe can be done through charitable works.
‘If you go to the hospital, it’s tithing. If you help poor people, it’s tithing’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
